Extraordinary publication cost

Symposium Proceedings 10 (1) Exploiting Our Native Fauna-Culling, Harvesting, Farming? was reprinted due to demand well in excess of the issue over-run. Cost of reprinting 500 with colour covers was $3054. Demand for the reprinted issue from libraries and book shops has been steady, and will be reported to the Executive when collated. Adequate over-runs of future issues of the Australian Biologist have now been organised. The proceedings of the Darwin symposium, ‘Biology in the Wet-dry Tropics: still wet behind the ears?’ have also proved popular, supported by an adequate over-run.

Subscribers to Australian Biologist

There are 20 library, departmental and school subscriptions; however three of these are currently unfinancial. Four subscrip-tions are supplied gratis, including one to the Institute of Biology (UK).
